Gabriel, a 17-year-old boy from Rogova, drowned in the Danube in Ostrovul Corbului, after jumping into the water to cool off. The rescue crew took almost two hours and his body was found at a depth of ten meters. He could not swim and locals said the area was dangerous. The fire brigade warns of the risks of swimming in unprotected areas, stressing that such tragedies could become frequent.
