Two teenagers died / The motorcycle they were riding was hit by a train in Harghita

Two teenagers, both approximately 15–16 years old, died on Thursday evening after the motorcycle they were riding was hit by a train near Vrabia Halt, in Vrabia, Tușnad commune, Harghita County. The railway accident was reported by the Harghita Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.

Emergency crews who arrived at the scene found that the victims, both male, were dead. No information has so far been provided about the exact circumstances in which the motorcycle ended up on the railway or when the impact occurred.

Two firefighter crews from the Miercurea-Ciuc Detachment were mobilized for the intervention, with a complex first-response vehicle and a SMURD ambulance. Two crews from the County Ambulance Service, as well as a crew from the Băile Tușnad Voluntary Service for Emergency Situations, also took part in operations at the scene of the accident. The authorities are to establish the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
