Ilfov: A man died after a tree fell on his car following a storm.

A man was found dead in his car on Tuesday evening, in the locality of Găneasa in Ilfov County, after a tree fell on the vehicle following a strong storm that affected Bucharest. The Department for Emergency Situations (DSU) confirmed that the victim had injuries incompatible with life upon the arrival of the intervention teams, which included fire trucks, rescue equipment, and a SMURD ambulance.

In the context of these extreme weather conditions, the DSU issued recommendations for the population, including avoiding unnecessary travel and areas with trees or unstable structures. The storm caused significant damage in several areas of Bucharest, where multiple trees were uprooted, roofs were destroyed, and flooding occurred in various locations.
