The tragedy at the Tamási Árondin boarding school in Odorheiu Secuiesc, which resulted in two deaths, is believed to have been caused by the haste in renovating the building.

According to a scenario published by Hungarian journalists, the renovation works were rushed because of the deadline imposed by the Budapest-funded project. The boarding school building needed immediate intervention, but the deadlines were later extended. The tragedy occurred during drainage works when the dormitory partially collapsed, killing two students.
