The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) announced that, in the context of the UEFA Champions League final taking place on May 30, 2026, the circulation of heavy trucks will be restricted between 05:00-17:00 local time in Budapest. The purpose of this measure is to maintain road traffic safety in the city.

Romanian citizens who are in Hungary can request consular assistance at the phone numbers of the Romanian Embassy in Budapest and the general consulates in Szeged and Gyula. In case of emergency, there are on-call phones available to provide support. The MFA recommends consulting official websites for additional information and reminds the use of the 'Travel Safely' application for travel advice.
