The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) announced that, starting from February 17, 2026, traffic on DN 7C - Transfăgărășan will be temporarily closed in the area of the Vidraru dam, on a section of 250 meters between km 61+500 and km 61+750, due to the modernization works of the reservoir. Restrictions will be applied from Monday to Thursday, between 08:00-11:00 and 13:00-18:00, and on weekends, between 08:00-11:00. Parking of vehicles is prohibited in the slope area to avoid accidents caused by falling rocks. Road users are advised to respect the temporary road signage and the instructions of the personnel on site.
