Three people, a Ukrainian citizen and two Romanians, were placed in preventive custody after border police discovered nearly five kilograms of 3 CMC, a high-risk drug, hidden in the body of the car they used to enter Romania from Poland. The operation took place in Sighetu Marmației, where the police stopped the vehicle for checks. The defendants, aged 32, 33, and 37, were detained by DIICOT prosecutors for trafficking high-risk drugs and introducing them into the country. One of them was also charged with possession of drugs for personal use. The judge at the Maramureș Tribunal ordered the preventive arrest of the three for 30 days. The activities were carried out in collaboration with the Organized Crime Fighting Service.
