The Bucharest Tribunal decided to place under judicial control architect chief Robert Bașca, public administrator Iulian Cârloge and deputy director of the Local Police, Florin Chioran, for 60 days, rejecting the DNA's request for preventive arrest. The three are accused of possible acts of corruption related to expediting the reception of a property. Bașca allegedly received 15,000 euros from a businessman for the necessary documents to finalize the construction, while Cârloge was reportedly aware of this bribe, intervening to expedite the process. Chioran is accused of having received over 70,000 lei for the quick signing of a tax address. In this investigation, a businessman has been detained and placed under preventive arrest for influence peddling and bribery, and the DNA continues investigations into other involved parties.
