The National Company Maritime Ports Administration SA Constanța announces ongoing works for the installation of modern truck weighing systems, of the 'weight in motion' type, at the access gates of the port. Currently, the works are concentrated at Gate 10, and the first scales have already been installed at Gates 7 and 10 bis. Various activities related to this project are taking place at Gates 10 and 14. The system will allow weighing vehicles up to 200 tons, including 20 tons per axle, while they move at speeds between 5 and 90 km/h.

The works include the installation of hardware components and the development of the software platform for sensor integration. After the installation is completed, the equipment will be calibrated by the manufacturer. The implementation of this system will improve traffic management in the port, contributing to the predictability of congestion and facilitating the rerouting of trucks to avoid traffic jams.
