The Republican ambassador of the USA in Romania, Darryl Nirenberg, conducted a tour in Transylvania, sharing his impressions on social media. The first stop was Sighișoara, where he explored the history of the town together with his family. He continued with the Rupea Fortress, admiring the stone-built fortress, a symbol of Transylvanian resistance. Bran Castle, known as Dracula's home, was another important destination, and Nirenberg described it as an impressive piece of medieval history.
At the Urși Sanctuary in Zărnești, the ambassador interacted with rescued brown bears, highlighting the conservation initiative. Brașov, with Council Square and the Black Church, was another significant stop, emphasizing the shared values of the USA and Romania. The journey concluded at Peleș Castle in Sinaia, a monument to the birth of modern Romania. In the end, Nirenberg expressed his admiration for the hospitality of the Romanians and the beauty of the country, stating that his expectations had been exceeded.
