President Nicușor Dan is on his way to Galați, after a Russian drone of the Geran-2 type struck Romanian territory the previous night, injuring two people, according to sources.

The president's first stop will be at the local hospital, where the victims are hospitalized, followed by a visit to the affected building. Nicușor Dan emphasized that Russia bears full responsibility for the incident, and the Russian consul in Constanța has been declared persona non grata, with the consulate set to be closed.

During a press conference, the president criticized Romanian leaders who try to justify Russia's actions, highlighting Euro-Atlantic solidarity and unity through the support received from the EU and NATO. He also announced that Romania will sign contracts for the necessary equipment under the SAFE program, with deliveries expected in the next two years.
