The US Ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, expressed support for Romania and condemned the incident in Galați: "We will defend every inch of NATO territory"

The United States sent a message of support for Romania on Friday, after a Russian drone struck an apartment building, an incident described as 'reckless incursion'.

The U.S. Ambassador to the North Atlantic Alliance, Matthew Whitaker, stated that the U.S. stands with its NATO ally, Romania, and condemned the Russian actions, expressing his thoughts for the injured in Galați.

The message was also supported by several allied states, including France, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belgium, as well as high-ranking officials, such as the NATO Secretary General and the leaders of the European Commission and Council, who denounced Russia's irresponsible behavior. The U.S. reaffirms its commitment to defend every inch of NATO territory.
