Cristian Erbașu, the general director of Construcții Erbașu, stated that the works on the Unirii overpass have exceeded 30% completion and that progress depends on the budget allocated for this year. Although completion is estimated for 2027, the association's desire is to finish the works as soon as possible. He emphasized the need for additional funding compared to the initial budget for 2026, mentioning that the total remaining amount is 900 million lei.

The mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, announced that he will request the allocation of 20% from the national budget necessary for financing the project through the Anghel Saligny Program, emphasizing the importance of the work for the community. Băluță stated that it is unacceptable to have a "hole" in the city and promised the completion of the overpass at Apărătorii Patriei this year.
