The torrential rains caused serious damage in Galați, affecting recently constructed roads and bike paths.

Following the heavy rains, Galați is facing serious problems on two recently modernized roads. A section of a bicycle path, built with European funds, has collapsed, and on a street where work was done on the water network, the asphalt broke under a vehicle. The contractor has been notified by the city hall and has promised to remedy the damages caused.
