The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) announced that, starting from February 2, the tap water supplied at "Henri Coandă" Airport is drinkable and can be used free of charge by passengers. The general director of CNAB, Bogdan Mândrescu, emphasized that although the water has been drinkable since 2012, legislative changes have led to a problem of availability, in the context of increasing air traffic. After rapid technical interventions, the water is now microbiologically pure, supplied through its own deep boreholes and distributed through a network of 23 km. To facilitate access to drinking water, CNAB will install 14 water stations in terminals, including taps and bottle refill devices, both in public areas and in restricted access areas. The first station will be installed in the Departures terminal, and two more will be mounted at Băneasa Airport. Mândrescu highlighted the importance of improving services for passengers, aiming to meet international comfort standards.
