The staff of the psychiatric wards at the 'Dr. Gheorghe Marinescu' Municipal Hospital in Târgu Mureș resigned en masse, accusing media abuses following the visit of the CRJ, which reported serious irregularities.

The staff in the psychiatric wards of the 'Dr. Gheorghe Marinescu' Municipal Hospital in Târgu Mureș has resigned en masse, citing a "media abuse" as a reaction to the accusations made by representatives of the Center for Legal Resources (CRJ), who reported inadequate conditions for patient care.

Manager Szuszanna Megheșan explained that the resignations were caused by a public post from a CRJ representative, who mentioned improper conditions and lack of hygiene.

Megheșan emphasized that the staff fulfills its responsibilities and that the accusations are an incorrect assessment of the hospital's activity. She mentioned that the images presented by the CRJ raise questions about their legality, as patients and staff were filmed without consent. Additionally, the manager stated that the hospital does not keep patients captive for financial gain and called for an improvement of the infrastructure to provide better conditions for patients.

The CRJ sent a letter to the Minister of Health detailing serious irregularities, including deaths caused by negligence and inhumane living conditions for patients. CRJ representative Georgiana Pascu called for the urgent intervention of the authorities to protect patients' rights and improve conditions in the hospital.
