Florin Manole, a representative of the Ministry of Labor, stated that the solidarity package, intended to support 2.8 million pensioners and 300,000 children from vulnerable families, is not included in the budget for 2026, being 1 billion lei lower than the execution from 2025. Manole emphasized the importance of implementing this package immediately, without delays, considering the rising prices.

He also mentioned that partial funding from European funds is not possible, as any modification would require time. The budget for social assistance remains constant compared to the previous year, without the necessary surpluses. Manole awaited the final form of the budget to discuss possible negotiations with the opposition, emphasizing that the PSD has been open on the subject of the solidarity package.
