The physical stage of section 3 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway (Cornetu-Tigveni) has reached almost 15% / The completion of the works depends on obtaining the Revised Environmental Agreement.

The management of CNAIR announced that section 3 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway (Cornetu-Tigveni) has reached a physical execution stage of almost 15%. The association of Italian and Romanian builders (Webuild SPA - Tancrad) is currently working on the sectors for which Building Permits have been issued, covering approximately 30% of the site. Cristian Pistol, the general director of CNAIR, emphasized the importance of quickly obtaining the Revised Environmental Agreement from the Ministry of Environment to allow the issuance of the necessary Building Permits.

On the 37.4 km route, a tunnel, 55 structures, and two road junctions will be built. Work on 15 bridges is at various stages of execution, and preparations for drilling are underway at the Poiana tunnel. The contract for this section is valued at 5.323 billion lei, excluding VAT, and is financed through the Transport Program. CNAIR officials emphasize that the development of road infrastructure depends on effective collaboration between CNAIR and the relevant ministries.
