The Senate approved the reorganization of the Forest Guard, which will have 82 positions at the national level, to strengthen the protection of forests.

The legislative project proposed by the Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, was adopted by the Senate with 105 votes in favor. The National Forestry Guard will have 82 positions, mostly for specialized personnel in forestry, while the Forestry Guards will have 760 positions. The leader of USR, Ștefan Pălărie, emphasized the importance of this reorganization for combating illegal logging and protecting biodiversity, promising a quicker response from the authorities in the face of environmental threats.
