The Minister of National Defense, Ionuț Moșteanu, announced that the Romanian Navy will receive next year a new corvette, already completed in Turkey, which will participate in the Navy Day parade. Parliament's approval is expected in September. The corvette will be equipped with standard NATO armament and will fulfill various missions. Mr Moșteanu also detailed the naval forces' equipment plan, which includes helicopters, amphibious vehicles and missiles, emphasizing the importance of human resources in the use of this equipment.
