The Romanian government has adopted two essential resolutions for the development of the electricity transmission network, regarding the projects of the 400 kV Overhead Line (LEA) Suceava – Bălți and the 400 kV Overhead Line Gădălin – Suceava. These investments, declared of national importance, will contribute to closing the 400 kV ring in northern Romania, increasing the security of the National Electric Power System (SEN) and facilitating the integration of renewable sources.

The 400 kV Suceava – Bălți project, valued at 133.4 million lei, will connect Romania with the Republic of Moldova, while the 400 kV Gădălin – Suceava, the longest power line in the country, will span 260 kilometers, with a cost of 688.3 million lei. These works will support regional economic development and create new connection opportunities for investors. The government has also declared other projects of national importance, demonstrating its commitment to modernizing energy infrastructure.
