Viorel Riceard Badea, the consul of Romania in Dubai, delivered a controversial message to Romanian children stranded in the Emirates due to the war in the Middle East, urging them to enjoy the chance of being close to a conflict. In a video broadcast by Vrancea 24, Badea told the students not to be afraid and to return home with pleasant memories. He emphasized that the war does not directly affect them and that they should remain calm. The group of students, who were in Dubai on a private trip, returned to the country on a flight that included 127 Romanians, of which 95 were minors.
