The prefect of Constanța County, Adrian-Teodor Picoiu, declared on Friday for G4Media that the drone that exploded in the port of Constanța is part of a group of five Ukrainian drones.

The prefect stated, citing information from the Ukrainian side, that one of the drones exploded in the Romanian port, while another drone was destroyed on Ukrainian territory. The other three drones are currently being searched for by authorities, with the help of two helicopters, one from the Special Unit of Tulcea and another from SMURD Constanța, to prevent any potential issues.

Picoiu emphasized that there is no imminent danger, mentioning that the drones being searched for could be heading towards Bulgaria or Turkey. Preventive actions have been initiated to ensure safety in the area.
