Tonight, the Palace of the Parliament will be illuminated in red and blue, at the request of the Army Sports Club, to celebrate 40 years since the historic victory of Steaua Bucharest in the European Champions Cup.

The event, approved by the Permanent Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies, will take place between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM, providing a visual tribute to one of the most important achievements in Romanian football.

On May 7, 1986, Steaua defeated FC Barcelona at the 'Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán' stadium in Seville, a match considered a 'magic night' by the club. Steaua Bucharest emphasized the significance of this moment, recalling the historic penalties saved by Helmuth Duckadam.

The heroes from Seville will be decorated with the 'National Order for Merit', and the BNR will launch a commemorative coin featuring the club's logo.
