The extension of the M4 subway line between Gara de Nord and Gara Progresul will begin soon, with the order to start works expected to be issued in about a month. The Sector 4 City Hall has already awarded contracts for design and execution, with a total value of over 2 billion euros. The Turkish-Bulgarian association Dogus and Trace Group Hold won the bid for the first section, but the result is contested. Another Romanian association won the bid for the section from Eroii Revoluției to Gara Progresul.
