The North Beltway of Focșani will be opened to traffic starting Tuesday, August 25, providing a direct connection between DN2D and the A7 Motorway.

The connecting road between DN2D Focșani–Târgu Secuiesc and the Moldova Highway A7 will be open to traffic starting Tuesday, August 25, announces Nicușor Halici, the president of the Vrancea County Council.

This connection will allow for a reduction in the number of cars passing through Focșani, thus decreasing heavy traffic on Mărășești Street and improving the safety and comfort of residents.

The Northern Bypass will facilitate access from DN2D to E85 and A7, avoiding crossing the municipality.

Halici emphasizes that, although the actual works were completed quickly, the authorization process took almost a year due to expropriations and bureaucratic procedures. He believes that a reform of the system is necessary to accelerate infrastructure construction.

This opening represents an important step towards a less congested Focșani and a better-connected Vrancea.
