Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja has announced that the national energy system is running smoothly, with a consumption of about 3,700 MW and a production of 4,200 MW. Romania exports surplus energy and the energy mix includes 30% from renewable sources. Energy lakes are 87% full, preparing the country for a dry summer. Burduja emphasized the importance of coal as part of the energy transition and noted that Romania will double gas production from Neptun Deep by 2027.
