Ciprian Șerban announced on Thursday the signing of three funding contracts with the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI), the Special Telecommunications Service (STS), and the Protection and Guard Service (SPP). These contracts, fully funded through the Modernization Fund, aim to purchase electric vehicles and develop charging infrastructure. Șerban emphasized the importance of decarbonizing transport and stated that public institutions must set an example for the private sector.

The projects will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions, lowering operating costs, and increasing energy independence. The minister highlighted that security and sustainability are interconnected, and investments in clean mobility represent a strategic priority for the future of the transport system in Romania.
