The Ministry of Environment has issued a warning regarding a strong fire that broke out at a warehouse of sanitary and plastic materials in Sector 6 of the Capital. The smoke cloud is moving towards the east-southeast, and residents in these areas are advised to follow the RO-Alert messages and avoid prolonged exposure outdoors. The fire affects an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, and the cause of it is unknown.
Environmental Guard commissioners are monitoring air quality, and so far, no significant exceedances of suspended particle values have been recorded. A mobile laboratory has been set up near the fire to monitor air quality in real-time. Authorities continue to coordinate the intervention to prevent the spread of the fire, and legal measures will be taken after the fire is extinguished.
