The Ministry of Energy launches the procedure for selecting the consortium leader of the Black Sea AI Gigafactory project.

The Ministry of Energy has announced the launch of a declaration of intent for selecting the consortium leader who will coordinate the development of the Black Sea AI Gigafactory project, a strategic investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The initiative, carried out together with the Ministry of Finance and with the support of the Authority for the Digitization of Romania, aims to attract actors from the public and private sectors to build a large-scale computing infrastructure dedicated to AI, intended to strengthen Romania's position in the European artificial intelligence ecosystem and to transform the Black Sea region into a regional technological hub.

The process includes a timeline for submitting documentation and selecting a consortium leader with experience and financial capacity to coordinate the project.
