At the end of a ten-month term, former Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, announced the attraction of approximately 8.5 billion euros in funding for Romania. These funds include 3.5 billion euros allocated for nuclear energy projects and natural gas infrastructure, one billion from the Modernization Fund, and five billion euros for the AI Giga Factory project.

Ivan emphasized the importance of this project, which will transform Romania into a strategic country for allies, especially for the European Union and the United States. The selection procedure for the operator of the AI Giga Factory was recently initiated, and the factory will be built next to the nuclear reactor in Cernavodă, becoming the most important artificial intelligence unit in Central and Eastern Europe.
