Air alert at the border with Ukraine. The Ministry of National Defense has detected aerial targets near Chilia and Ismail.

The Ministry of National Defense declared a state of alert on Saturday, after radar systems identified aerial targets near the localities of Chilia and Ismail in Ukraine, at 4:39 AM. Following this detection, the anti-aircraft defense systems were activated, and an IAR 330 Puma SOCAT helicopter was prepared for takeoff. The National Military Command Center informed the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations about the need to alert the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, with a RO-Alert message being sent at 4:41 AM.

The ministry emphasized that no unauthorized incursions into national airspace or ground impacts of any aerial vehicle were reported. The air alert was lifted at 5:07 AM, and the Ministry of National Defense ensured that it informs allied structures in real time about these events.
