The Capital City Hall announced on Wednesday the extension of the M3 metro line towards the Capital Ring, Chiajna, and the Latin Quarter. This initiative is being carried out in collaboration with Metrorex, the Sector 6 City Hall, and the Ministry of Transport, and the protocol was approved by the general councilors at the proposal of the Sector 6 mayor, Ciprian Ciucu.

The project will include works on three sections: the first, Păcii - West Ring Line, will have 3.7 kilometers and four underground stations, connecting the metro with the railway ring of Bucharest. The second section, Preciziei - Chiajna, will have 3.3 kilometers and two above-ground stations, connecting the Militari Residence area with the Militari Shopping Complex. The last section, Preciziei - Latin Quarter (Bragadiru), will have 4.36 kilometers and two above-ground stations, facilitating access to the Latin Quarter.

PMB emphasizes that this project is essential for unlocking traffic and reducing pollution in the area, providing technical assistance for its implementation.
