Between April 27 and 30, 2026, the Labor Inspection conducted 2,335 inspections at the national level, applying 1,335 sanctions and generating fines totaling 7,365,800 lei.
The inspections focused on combating undeclared work, identifying 159 individuals working without legal forms, for whom fines of over 6.7 million lei were imposed. The irregularities particularly concerned working and resting hours, as well as the non-fulfillment of previous measures. In the field of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), fines of 631,500 lei were imposed, and 5 work equipment were stopped due to serious risks.
Mihai Uca, Deputy State Inspector General, emphasized the importance of respecting safety standards and contractual rights, stating that the Labor Inspection aims for a transparent labor market, where respect for the law becomes the norm.
