The Pension Recalculation has brought financial benefits for 4 million retirees, with an average increase of 520 lei. However, 600,000 retirees did not receive increases, and inflation has eroded the gains. Additionally, pensions were not indexed on January 1, 2025, and 2026, which has led retirees to seek justice in court. According to data, there are over 20,000 lawsuits between pension funds and retirees. A notable case is that of a retiree who obtained an increase of 1,100 lei after the court found errors in the calculation of his score. He managed to demonstrate that his working years under special conditions were not taken into account. The Gorj Tribunal ordered the Pension Fund to reevaluate the pension, and the retiree will benefit from a significant increase, including the pension differences. This situation highlights the problems of the pension system and the need for fairness in evaluating retirees' rights.
