The Romanian government has announced the development of a digital platform, named SAFE, aimed at facilitating the connection of the national industry to projects funded through the European SAFE instrument. During a workshop organized at the Victoria Palace, the Prime Minister's Chancellery and the Special Telecommunications Service tested the prototype of the platform, which allows contractors to publish industrial needs and economic operators to present their capabilities.

The purpose of the platform is to increase the localization of industrial production in Romania, with a target of at least 50% localization. The platform will perform automatic matches between supply and demand, without manual intervention, and will not be used for public procurement. Representatives from organizations in the defense industry participated in the workshop, providing technical and operational feedback for improving the platform's functionalities.
