Ghișeul.ro, the online platform through which Romanians pay taxes and duties, has crashed again, complicating the payment process for citizens.

Although the platform was restarted after a few hours of downtime, users were greeted with a maintenance message. This situation arises at a time when Romanians are already affected by a new wave of taxes and levies, starting from January 1, 2026, as a result of the tax changes adopted by Parliament. These measures, included in OUG no. 89/2025, target both individuals and companies, having a significant impact on taxes on housing, land, vehicle taxes, and rental income.
