The flow of gas from Romania to Hungary has ceased, affecting the transit of Russian gas. Hungary, dependent on these imports, has begun to seek alternative routes, speculating in the market to obtain better prices. The director of Transgaz, Ion Sterian, mentioned that this decision affects the revenue from transit tariffs for Romania, which relies on domestic production and imports to cover its consumption. Amid the declining flow, Hungary continues to reduce its dependence on Russian gas.
