The Alstom Traxx locomotive, part of a €150 million contract, has been unveiled at the Gare de Nord. These locomotives, produced in Germany, will replace the over 40-year-old rail fleet. The first units will run on major routes in Romania and compatibility tests are essential to obtain the necessary authorizations. The project, funded by the PNRR, will last 35 months and includes maintenance for 20 years.
