The last section of the A0 highway has been approved for construction, with the aim of opening to traffic in May 2026. The work, carried out by a Romanian-Italian joint venture, is on schedule and 8km of the 18km stretch could be completed early due to the difficult terrain. The highway will connect the DN1 to the A1, completing a network of almost 100 km around Bucharest.
