The assessment of the buildings affected by the explosion in Rahova has begun. The operation will conclude on September 9.

The Local Police of the Municipality of Bucharest announced that, starting from August 19, 2026, it will begin the evaluation of properties in the area affected by the explosion in Rahova, which occurred on October 17, 2025.

The action, carried out in collaboration with the Emergency Situations Directorate, will last until September 9 and will involve checking the condition of apartments in five affected blocks. Teams of specialists will document the cracks and any damages, having a preventive character.

Residents are requested to allow access to the teams; otherwise, they assume the risk of being unable to request compensation in case of damages.

The explosion in Rahova resulted in the death of three people and injured another 15, and investigations are ongoing, with delays already recorded in this case.
