Mirel Idorași, the director of the Bucharest Forest Guard, was taken out in handcuffs from his office by the police after being reported by his boss, Laurențiu Heraru, for taking the keys from the chief inspector's office. The incident occurred after Idorași threatened a journalist from Reporter de Iași, and the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, reported his aggressive behaviors to the DNA. The General Inspector of the National Forest Guard, George Gârbacea, confirmed the police intervention and mentioned that the Ministry of Environment sent a Disciplinary Commission to verify the institution's activities.

Idorași has been temporarily suspended from his duties as chief inspector and has been restricted from accessing the institution's IT platforms. This situation has generated negative reactions among employees, who accused each other of illegal acts. Buzoianu emphasized that abusive behaviors must be sanctioned immediately, highlighting a toxic atmosphere within the institution.
