The National Institute of Hydrology and Water Management (INHGA) announces a significant decrease in the Danube's flow, which will reach 1,650 m³/s at the entry into the country, compared to the multiannual average of 4,700 m³/s for the month of July.

This decrease will continue in the following days, especially in the Baziaș section. Downstream of the Iron Gates, the flows will slightly decrease, except for the Gruia – Oltenița sector, where stagnation is expected. INHGA estimates a maximum flow of 3,800 m³/s and a minimum of 2,200 m³/s for the month of July. Although the flows of the interior rivers will remain stable, hydrologists warn of the risks of local flooding on certain rivers in hilly and mountainous areas, due to the forecasted precipitation.

The general hydrological regime will be at 30-50% of the multiannual averages, with exceptions in the Ialomița and Jiu basins, where higher values are expected.
