The National Administration "Apele Române" (ANAR) has declared that the Danube's water levels are stable, with an expected trend of increase starting from August 13.

In Cernavodă, where Reactor 1 of the nuclear power plant has been shut down since July 28 due to low water levels, authorities have managed to maintain the level at -218 cm for at least 4 days, according to ANAR.

The forecast from the National Institute of Hydrology indicates a decrease in the level by 10 cm per day until reaching -230 cm on August 13. Additionally, the Danube's flow at the entry into the country has reached a new historical minimum of 1,400 m³/s, which will be maintained throughout the week, expected to increase to 1,450 m³/s after August 13.

According to Apele Române, the interventions carried out in recent days, including the displacement of the Pârjoaia rock by the Romanian Armed Forces, have contributed to maintaining the minimum flows necessary for the operation of the Cernavodă NPP. The institution specifies that it continues to monitor the situation and implements measures to limit the effects of the low levels of the river.
