Several courts in Romania, including the Courts of Appeal in Bucharest and Craiova, have announced the resumption of judicial activity after the General Assembly of judges decided to suspend the protest against the Government's project regarding judges' pensions. The Bucharest Court of Appeal adopted Decision no. 4, establishing that court activity will resume starting from October 23, 2025, while the Craiova Court of Appeal will begin hearing cases from October 22, 2025.
The protests were triggered at the end of August, but the project was declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court of Romania, which led to the decision to suspend the protest.
