Initially, a conversation with ChatGPT was used as evidence in a traffic case in Timiș, where a driver was fined for exceeding the legal speed limit. After contesting the fine of 1,300 lei and the suspension of his license, the judges at the Timișoara Court initially upheld the police's decision.

However, the driver continued to contest and reached the Timiș Court, where the IPJ Timiș presented the conversation with ChatGPT and screenshots from Google Maps to prove that the speed limit was 50 km/h. After analyzing the evidence, the court established that the speed limit on that road was actually 90 km/h, and the report was erroneous. Thus, the driver won the case, demonstrating that he had not violated the law.
