What the doctors say about the condition of the 5-year-old child found after 50 hours in the forest near Sibiu

Ioana Mătăcuţă, spokesperson for the Pediatric Clinical Hospital in Sibiu, provided details about the condition of the five-year-old child found after nearly two days of searching in the forest near Sebeşul de Jos.

The child is hospitalized in the pediatrics department, having a good general condition, being afebrile and hemodynamically stable. He was diagnosed with mild dehydration, interstitial pneumonia, and tick bites, but the doctors believe that his progress is favorable. Already under treatment for over 12 hours, the child is cooperating well with the medical staff.

It is possible that the boy may need psychological help later, depending on his progress. The doctors are waiting to decide when he can be discharged, considering that his condition is improving.
