Police are searching for a 4-year-old child who went missing from their home in Dofteana, Bacău

A 4-year-old child from Dofteana commune, Bacău County, is being sought by police officers, firefighters, gendarmes and volunteers after leaving home and failing to return. The disappearance was reported on September 24, 2026, and search and rescue operations are under way.

According to the Bacău County Police Inspectorate, the minor's name is Avram Iosif Laurențiu and he is believed to have left his home address voluntarily. As of the time the information was released, he had not been found.

When he left, the child was wearing gray trousers and a blue T-shirt and was barefoot. The forces deployed in the field have been reinforced to check the area and locate the minor.

Police are asking anyone with information about the child or who sees him to call the emergency number 112 immediately or contact the nearest police unit. Searches continue in Dofteana commune and the surrounding areas.
