More than 250 police officers, firefighters, gendarmes, and volunteers continue searching for a 4-year-old child who went missing from home on Thursday, in Dofteana

More than 250 police officers, firefighters, gendarmes and volunteers continued searching on Friday for a 4-year-old child who went missing from home on Thursday in Dofteana, Bacău County. The operations are being carried out without interruption after the child was not found during the night.

Cătălina Crețu, spokesperson for the Bacău County Police Inspectorate, said that the mobilized teams are checking the area, while a thermal imaging camera and a helicopter belonging to the General Aviation Inspectorate have been used in the operation. Volunteers who joined the law enforcement forces are also taking part in the search.

The child has autism. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing gray trousers and a blue T-shirt and was barefoot.

Police are asking anyone with information or who sees the child to immediately call 112 or contact the nearest police unit. The search is ongoing.
