Stelian Bujduveanu, the interim mayor of the Capital, declared that the City Hall will start the works to secure the building in Rahova, affected by an explosion, after obtaining the signed agreement from all residents. These works, which will be fully funded by the City Hall, aim to restore the residents' trust and eliminate risks. Bujduveanu emphasized the importance of rapid and professional intervention, considering that the residents cannot return home and are living in uncertainty. The General Council of the Capital has approved measures for the safety of the building and its assessment. Following the explosion on October 17, three people died and 13 were injured. The director of the Municipal Administration for Strengthening Buildings with Seismic Risk, Răzvan Munteanu, mentioned that elements at risk of detachment will be removed and an assessment of the entire building will be carried out.
